Missing Death by Millimeters

Just another normal day in Porur. We woke up before the alarm today. Well, more like, LuRue woke up before the alarm, which woke Montana up too. It was another spicy breakfast, except with noodles this time! At 10:15, they went to their first school and did games such as memory games or chalkboard chains - we write one word and they write a word that starts with what the last word ends with like dog, got, tiger, etc. We did that with both Standards 4 and 5 again.

At 12:30, we were picked up by Stephen's brother, (also Stephen!) and taken back to the house for lunch. Another spicy dish of rice and sauce. There was preparation in the afternoon and some video editing, which came with lots of laughs as we watched ourselves attempt to act. At around 3, Montana, as suggested by LuRue, was going to run up and down the stairs for her exercise, but luckily got away without doing that when Marsha invited her to go for a "peaceful" walk, led by Sheeba, as she looked for a dress. This involved running across a street with no lights and crazy drivers, driving by at around 40 MPH. On the way, Montana found a nethi chutti, which she got for her friend.

Marsha and Montana got back safely around 4:30. The group left at 5 to go to the SEAM's, where the group did some singing and dancing. Then, Montana and LuRue had fun creating images by rolling paper with the girls. Montana decided it'll be her new side hobby when she is bored in class.

After SEAM's, the group quickly stopped at the house before heading off to their dinner in a fancy restaurant to end their day.

This also involved some more Indian-style road crossings. The restaurant had no utensils, which very weird for us Americans, but normal for the Indians. The dinner was more spicy than usual. It was chicken, cauliflower and garlic naan with sauces. Montana had fun trying the different foods, but LuRue didn't like it as much. She said that it was like her mouth had embers in it.

  2. Montana, are you going to teach the older kids string games?
And was the food too spicy for you, too?

  3. I looked up "nethi chutti”—how lovely. The rolling paper flower is exquisite, as are the earrings.
