Market Madness

This is the first day in India that we had to wake up extremely early...for the market. Although, we figured out later we could’ve just stayed up until 1am and just gone then. The market was very beautiful. It was a huge place that sold flowers, vegetables, and fruit. This is
where all the vendors on the street get their items. It turns out that the market is always open even through holidays. Do the sellers have ANY time to rest???

After the market, we had breakfast, then headed off to our usual classes. We did the same plan we did yesterday, except the last 10 minutes were spent watching the video Montana created for "1, 2, Buckle My Shoes", which you can see here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13NP5wZ2Fac

At the beginning of the afternoon Montana and LuRue spent practicing their duo skills, (Montana played guitar while LuRue sang), for when the groups performer, Marsha, leaves. It turns out Eric's guitar lessons to Montana have come in handy. The rest of the afternoon, LuRue napped and Montana got what she could packed for the weekend trip and did other unimportant stuff.

At 5, once again, the group went to SEAM's. We started, like usual with some songs to get the kids going. The kids definitely weren't as excited as the other days. After a half hour of songs, Montana and LuRue set up for bracelet making. All the kids reached for the bags of plastic thread as if they knew what they were doing. However, the only person who really knew was Swathi. She taught Montana successfully, who taught LuRue, but Swathi said none of the other kids would listen to her, so that was also a fail. We believe it is because it's Friday. We all headed back for dinner, then got packed for the weekend ahead. Tomorrow is another early morning with a two hour drive. YAY!

A PS too good to keep quiet! Montana was reading aloud to Standard 4 about the solar system. In a very loud voice to overcome the loud chanting from other nearby classes, she read: The sun is a ball of fire. It is very hot. Living organisms cannot exist on the earth in the absence of the sun. Only she didn't say "organisms". We're hoping the teacher doesn't understand English very well!

  1. Loved the little video, especially the inset of you doing what they said. Nicely done, Montana and LuRue. Did you buy anything from the market? And where are you going for the weekend? We leave Saturday morning for our trip but should have internet most of the time

  4. That is hilarious Montana! You know I would have been cracking up!! Great video. The kids look like they are having fun. Mom, I bet you are a bit drained after all the commotion of those "human beings" every day.
